Tulse Hill live: ‘Ceiling of school collapses’ closing South Circular as children rushed to hospital

The ceiling of a school in Tulse Hill has reportedly collapsed today, closing a section of the South Circular.

The Sun reports that schoolchildren from Rosemead Prep School, in Thurlow Park road, have been ‘rushed to hospital’ following the incident at around 9.20am today.

The South Circular (A205) is closed to traffic in both directions between Thurlow Hill and Lancaster Avenue.

Traffic in the surrounding area has been severely impacted as drivers try and get around the obstruction.

MyLondon has contacted London Fire Brigade for more information.

According to traffic aggregator Inrix: “A205 South Circular in both directions blocked, delays due to unsafe building between Lancaster Avenue (Dulwich) and Thurlow Hill (Tulse Hill).

“Congestion to Lancaster Avenue and Norwood Road, via West Norwood. Since 10:15am. The road is blocked by Emergency Services.”
