London weather: 6 hours of heavy snow forecast by BBC for Hillingdon, Hounslow and Ealing this week

In almost perfect timing for the start of December, snow is forecast for parts of West London this week.

If you’re a fan of snow, it may be the good news you’ve been hoping for.

The frosty weather is forecast by the BBC to hit the boroughs of Hillingdon, Hounslow and Ealing this Friday, December 4.

Just as the capital comes out of lockdown and Londoners are able to enjoy more in the way of entertainment, such as restaurants, pubs, shopping and shows.

So what will the exact forecast look like in each borough?

There will be “heavy snow and a gentle breeze” on Friday according to BBC Weather.

Temperatures will drop to a high of 3C and a low of 0C.

The snow is expected to start falling early in the morning from about 6am and be pretty constant until 12 noon. It will be accompanied by bright sun and cloud.

In the afternoon the snow will ease up to be replaced by cloudy weather.

Hounslow

The outlook for Hounslow is fairly similar to Hillingdon.

The borough will see high temperatures of 3C and lows of 0C.

BBC Weather states it will also experience “heavy snow”.

The snow will start in Hounslow around 6am and last until midday, but the borough may also see some rain at the start and end of the period that snow falls.

It will be a cloudy afternoon, with some chance of rain.

Ealing

The London Borough of Ealing will also see “heavy snow showers” this coming Friday.

It’s temperatures are slightly more varied than the other two boroughs, with highs of 4C and lows of -1C.

Snow is expected to start falling at about 6am along with some rain.

Just like the Hillingdon and Hounslow, the snow will last all morning until midday, accompanied by some sun.

It will mostly be cloudy for the remainder of the afternoon.

So whatever your plans this weekend, make sure you have a warm hat and gloves on you.
