A teenage horserider described as one of the sport's "bright stars" has died in a riding accident at home.
British Eventing said schoolgirl Iona Sclater, 15, was "an exceptionally talented and dedicated young event rider".
Sclater achieved 33 top 10 results competing with British Eventing and represented the Eastern region four times at the under-18 Regional Team championships.
She also managed to secure a place on the Pony European Championships long-list.
The young rider, believed to be from Hertfordshire, recently posted a picture with one of her horses captioned: "Find me someone who looks at me the way Swatchy does. thank you @adamfanthorpe for capturing these special moments."
Tributes were paid on her latest post, with one person writing: "To one of my biggest inspirations, thank you for everything, you were taken long before your time and for that i'm so sorry.
