Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the rose 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the were Ibersol SGPS (LS:), which rose 1.84% or 0.200 points to trade at 11.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS (LS:) added 1.61% or 0.1400 points to end at 8.8300 and Sonae (LS:) was up 1.52% or 0.0170 points to 1.1370 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae Capital (LS:), which fell 0.64% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.9300 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:) declined 0.52% or 0.0850 points to end at 16.1700 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:) was down 0.39% or 0.0010 points to 0.2560.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.63% or 0.48 to $76.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.29% or 0.19 to hit $66.55 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.20 to trade at $1301.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1785, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8808.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 93.59.
